How To Be A More Inefficient Designer
We find that an unhealthy focus on efficiency in our work can lead to pretty-looking but empty-feeling results.
By introducing more curiosity, exploration, and—yes—inefficiency into the design process, we find ourselves discovering more interesting and meaningful targets worth aiming at.
In this session, we'll share some of our favorite tips and tricks we’ve discovered for introducing friction, indecision, and unexpected exploration into the design process.
We’ll also explore ways on how we misspend time and energy, make things the long hard stupid way, un-automate simple procedures, and consistently produce inefficient (and therefore interesting) design.
